Andrzej Stuart-Thompson
Andrzej Stuart-Thompson is a UK-based PT-ENG translator, editor and academic, who completed his DPhil thesis in Modern and Medieval Languages (Portuguese) at the University of Oxford, where he now works as a Stipendiary Lecturer in Portuguese. His research and translation interests include twentieth and twenty-first century Portuguese women’s poetry, and literature and non-fiction from Portugal and Brazil which engage with ecological and sci-fi themes. He also translates academic texts (from the fields of literary criticism and cultural studies). He is currently working on two bilingual anthologies of poetry for the publishing house Shantarin: (1) 'Song of Emerging Homeland and other poems', by Natália Correia; and (2) 'My verses, my voice', featuring fado poems by Portuguese women fadistas.
